Meet the Captain — Josh Williamson
For Captain Josh Williamson, fishing Dale Hollow Lake isn’t just a profession — it’s a lifelong connection that began generations ago. One of his favorite memories still takes him back to his teenage years, fishing out of his great-grandfather’s old boat. That day, he hooked a bass so big he can still point to the exact spot and remember the lure that fooled it. His great-grandfather was an avid angler who built his own lures and gear, and fishing from that boat became a family tradition. One that sparked Josh’s lifelong love for the water and set him on the path to becoming a guide.
Today, Josh carries that same spirit into every charter aboard the Blue Jay. He hopes each guest leaves Dale Hollow not only with a cooler full of memories, but with a true respect for the lake and the incredible fish that call it home.
Kind, patient, and always learning, Josh believes the best captains never stop growing. Every day on the water is a chance to improve, discover, and connect. When you step aboard with Trolling Time Charters, you’re not just booking a trip. You’re sharing the boat with a man who fishes with gratitude, teaches with heart, and honors a family legacy built on the simple joy of time spent together on the lake.
